====== Grant Budget Balance======

This section is for working through buttons, related lists and lightning pages for the Grant Budget Balance. Grant Budget Balance works in conjunction with Grant Budget Entry, Grant Budget Transaction, Fund and Fund Intention to display the balance for Grant Budgets. Add custom fields as needed. For more detailed instruction on configuring Page Layouts or Lightning Pages, see the [[1accounts|Accounts]] or [[20contacts|Contacts]] object configuration.

It's important to understand that Grant Budget Balance in the Donor 360 package doesn't calculate anything. If not using the Fund 360 package, then this kind of calculation is happening in your accounting software. Use a bridge software to send this data to the Grant Budget Balance records.

==== Page Layouts ====
    * Click **Setup**, **Object Manager**, **Grant Budget Balance**
    * Select **Page Layouts**, Select **Grant Budget Balance Layout**, then **Save As** to create a new version
    * Click **Related Lists** in the pallet
        * Add or remove related lists as needed
    * **Save**
If a new page layout was created, assign to the appropriate Profiles

==== Lightning Page ====
A custom Lightning Page isn't necessary for this object. Users will see the Grant Budget Balance in a "Default" lighting view. But if you want to configure one, follow these steps.

From Grant Budget Balance, Object Manager, Select **Lightning Record Pages**
    * If a page exists, select it or Click **New** to create a new page
    * If you selcted an existing page, Click **Clone** and add a new label and API Name, configure as needed, Click **Save**
    * If you clicked **New**, Select **Record Page** from left panel, **Next**
      * Assign a Label and Search and Select the object (in this case Grant Budget Balance), **Next**
      * Choose a **Page Template** from left panel, **Done**
      * Build the new Grant Budget Balance lightning page by dragging the components and fields from the left panel.
      * **Save** and **Activate**
